CADIAC publishes in Nature Communications

The Carbon Dioxide Activation Center (CADIAC) has recently published their work entitled "Cooperative redox activation for carbon dioxide conversion" in Nature Communications.

Professors Troels Skrydstrup & Kim Daasbjerg

In this work, they describe how silicon-based reducing agents can efficiently convert carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide, where after both products from this redox step can be exploited for an ensuing carbonylative cross coupling.

The CADIAC chemists demonstrate the suitability of the methodology for the synthesis of pharmaceutically relevant compounds. The chemistry presented in this paper represents one of the many exciting projects that is currently ongoing in our Carbon Dioxide Activation Center (CADIAC) at the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center and the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Aarhus University. the project is financed by the Danish National Research Foundation.
