Innovation Fund Denmark Grand Solutions - Workshop and feed back by ST

Grand Solutions cover ideas very early in development to proof-of concept to near commercialization.

The Innovation Fund Denmark has published the 2016-announcement to Grand Solutions.

In Phase 1 it is important to have an overall strategic idea and a suggested team (preferably with 1-2 commercial partners) that can collaborate to solve the problem. The keywords announced at the info meeting were: Benefit for society - value creation - realization - ambition - implementation - commercialization - dream team - business - risk management. They do not support basic research.

The deadline for Phase 1 applications is on May 2, 2016.

The Faculty of Science and Technology has decided to offer researchers working on applications:

  1. A dialogue-based workshop "The good application"  on March 30, 2016 from 10.00 to 11.30 in the Preben Hornung room, building 1422, 8000 Aarhus C (the workshop will be in English).
Vice-Dean Søren Keiding has invited Scientific Officer Anitha K. Sharma from the Innovation Fund Denmark for advice/dialogue around the good application. There will be ample opportunity for questions and exchange of experience. Researchers working on applications for the Innovation Fund Denmark are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop.
Representatives of the local Scientific Coordinators and the Research Support Office will be present as well.

Register for the workshop directly to maj@au.dk, no later than Tuesday, March 22, 2016.

  1. Feedback on Phase 1 applications. Professor and former Vice-Dean Mogens Nielsen and External Consultant Hans Jørgen Pedersen will review and provide feedback on applications in week 15 and 16.

Therefore researchers can, in the period April 11 through April 19, 2016 submit their draft applications to maj@au.dk. After a few days the researcher will then get feedback via mail or telephone.
