44 million for original research ideas and initiatives by iNANO affiliated researchers

Independent Research Fund Denmark has granted DKK 44 million in total for 12 iNANO affiliated researchers. This funding will support research within drug targeting, magnetogenetics, improved batteries for storage of energy from renewable energy sources, improved immunotherapy, strong reversible adhesives, improved solar cells, studies in the complicated interactions between DNA and proteins, and much much more.

At Aarhus University, a total of 64 applications for funding have been granted DKK 230 million by Independent Research Fund Denmark. 12 of the applications have been submitted by iNANO affiliated researchers who will receive DKK 44 million for their research projects. This is a great achievement.

The primary purpose of Independent Research Fund Denmark (DFF) is to support and promote the most original ideas and initiatives in Danish research. In connection to the recent call in October 2018 iNANO affiliated researchers have been very successful in obtaining funding from the academic research councils, Natural Sciences, Medical Sciences, and last but not least, Technology and Production.
