Work from CADIAC highlighted in Angewandte Chemie International Edition

A Highlight in Angewandte Chemie International Edition has just been published (DOI: 10.1002/anie.201702292), which focuses on the recent work reported in a Nature Communications publication from the CADIAC team (https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms13782) including Dr. Dennis U. Nielsen, Prof. Kim Daasbjerg and Prof. Troels Skrydstrup.

In more detail, this Highlight reports on the interesting aspects of the chemistry developed in Aarhus dealing with the use of silicon-containing reagent for the selective reduction of CO2 to carbon monoxide and how both this gaseous reagent and the silicon waste can be exploited for a follow-up reaction for the preparation of pharmaceutically relevant molecules.

The chemistry reported in this “Highlight” represents one of the many exciting projects that are currently ongoing at the Carbon Dioxide Activation Center (CADIAC) at the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center and the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Aarhus University. The project is financed by the Danish National Research Foundation.
