Professor Heinz-Bernhard Kraatz, Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences, University of Toronto, Ontario, CanadaExploiting Ferrocene Derivatives for Electrochemical StudiesThe detection of biological analytes or of biochemical processes by electrochemical methods requires in many cases the presence of a redox-active probe as part of the detection system. This seminar will focus on two applications: the use of ferrocene-peptide conjugates for protein detection and the use of labeled ATP-derivatives for the study of protein kinase catalyzed transformations.
