Applications of the ATSAS Package to Solve Biological Problems

The ATSAS package developed at the EMBL Hamburg provides a strong platform for the analysis of Small-angle scattering data from biological macromolecules. The package is currently in use by over

10,000 scientists across the world, who not only utilise its many features but drive further development. Applications range from automated data processing and calculation of overall parameters, the determination of low resolution models of isotropic solutions and the analysis of weakly interacting oligomeric and flexible systems and complexes. The presentation will detail the latest developments in the ATSAS software platform and provide examples demonstrating how ATSAS enables users to answer complex biological problems.

Host: Professor Jan Skov Pedersen, Department of Chemistry & iNANO, Aarhus C
