Dr. Edit Brodszkij receives EU funding for research in cell mimicry
iNANO researcher, Dr. Edit Brodszkij, receives Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship to design polymeric artificial organelles in Assoc. Prof. Brigitte Stadler's research group at iNANO.
Dr. Edit Brodszkij has been granted aMarie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowshipto support her research in the Stadler group at INANO in the coming 2 years.
This interdisciplinary project takes advantage of organic/polymer chemistry, soft material science and cell biology. She will work on designing polymeric artificial organelles to counteract nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) by extending the lifetime of the hepatic cells.
Specifically, the advanced artificial organelles will employ a newly developed low toxic lysosomal escape strategy, and their activity will go beyond the currently limited function.
